Beautifully Illogical

It Takes a Miracle

When it comes to prayer, we’ve all been struck by hardballs of disappointment. And when we don’t see results, we’re tempted to lower our expectations, hopes, and dreams.  After all, what if God doesn’t come through the next time?  I’d better protect my heart and accept my circumstances the way they are.

Do you hear that whisper?  Where does it come from?

It comes from the spirit of fear who wants to keep us from believing the God of miracles. God is bigger than our disappointments, fears, and present situations.  IF God can do anything, he can surely move our mountains and calm our storms.

Have you become weary when it comes to calling out to your miracle-working God? Perhaps it’s time to let go of your fears and become like that little boy who handed Jesus his entire lunch. He could have lost it all, but instead, he gained so much more, including a miracle he would never forget.

Call out to God for his Kingdom to invade your impossible.

Work it, wrestle with it, stir it up.

It takes faith to live supernaturally in this natural world, but our faith doesn’t need to be any larger than that little boy’s lunch.  It just needs to be active, and humbly placed in God’s hands with our inadequacies and all.

What mountain are you weary in praying about?  You might want to take a moment to pray Mark 9:24.  Trust God with whatever portion you’ve been given.

Trust him in the face of your pain like “crooked lady” Ema McKinley did–even all those years before she received her jaw-dropping miracle. Keep praying, believing, and loving your Savior. Your miracle breakthrough may happen when you least expect it.

Ema McKinley’s time came on Christmas Eve morning 2011. In the midst of her darkest hour, the Lord showed up in a sudden shock of brightness and glory.  Standing in Ema’s room in his flowing white robe, he healed her deformed foot and hand, then straightened her helpless, crooked neck and spine, allowing her to walk again.

Do you believe God still performs amazing miracles like this today?  If so, you have already experienced a miracle of faith. Keep meditating on the Word of God and powerful testimonies like Ema’s. Before you know it, your faith will be as straight and tall as Ema’s healed body.
