God covered our sin-problem even before He spoke creation into existence and reached His perfect fingers into those dark layers of dirt to design us.
Even before God shaped Adam and Eve, He fashioned our future with His own flesh and blood. He devised a plan involving His perfect Lamb who would rescue us from our dirty selves and every muddy place we’d ever tread.

The most powerful stories involve death, whether it’s the death of a person, the death of a reputation, or the death of a dream. Authors know death is the lifeblood of story, highlighting hope and redemption (love, sacrifice, and forgiveness), but compared to the love story God writes for us, everything else only scrapes the surface.

Dirt-dwellers may try to persuade us that God’s bloody love story is only a foolhardy fairytale, but we know differently because we live it. And no human being on earth, no demon in hell, has the power to keep Truth in the grave!
Not me, you say. But we all plead guilty when we ignore the voice of truth.
Don’t touch that. It will hurt you.
Like wayward children, we ignore God’s voice, reach for that hot cookie tray, and get burned.
Then, when our arms shoot up for Him, He lifts us again in His healing embrace.
Scooping us out of the dark, LOVE teaches us the joy of grace’s liberating light. For out of the vein of Love Himself, pours forgiveness, free as blood.

Cross before me
Easter Sunday songs may fade as life tries to pull us back to the stressful cares of this world–but, like little children (now stubborn in a good way), we don’t need to forget His call to remember:
Every day is Easter Sunday when we live in His risen power.
We don’t need to wait for our next fall before we lift our arms in surrender:
Loving Daddy, thank you for Your covering!
