Our Glorious Obsession

Hi, beloved!

It’s been eons since we connected. We’ve been through some crazy battles since then. All of us.

In the middle of the mess, God has continued to show up as only he can do. He graciously gave me an opportunity to write sixty devotionals for The Masterpiece Edition of The Passion Translation. Combined with sixty breathtaking paintings by world-renown artist, Ron DiCianni, these devotionals help people feel loved by God in a whole new way.

I asked the Lord what he wanted to say to you today. And this is what he whispered to my heart. I pray it blesses you and touches you deeply. Even as you know God loves you fiercely.

Jesus whispers…

Don’t be obsessed with anyone but me. Invite me into your moment-by-moment thoughts. I love streaming in your internal meanderings as I bring heaven’s fragrance to your emotions.

I never stop leading you by my still waters as you put me first. None of your problems catch me by surprise. Step by step, we’ll plow through them in joyful unity. Enjoy my waters. Enjoy me!

Don’t stop panting for me like a deer pants for water. I eagerly satisfy your thirsty soul with my living water that flows fresh from my throne. Drink deep and fall in love with me all over again.

Tell me what I mean to you. Listen close as I tell you what you mean to me. You’re the apple of my eye. My glorious obsession. I poured out everything for you in perfect devotion.

What do you need from me today? I love giving good gifts to my children. And one of my gifts to you is my peace that passes understanding. It’s a wonderful safeguard.

You don’t need to figure out everything. People do strange things. Life doesn’t make sense sometimes. People even claimed I had a devil. That was their problem. Not mine.

People either loved me or hated me. I empower you to keep loving me and others the way I love you. Richly, purely, continuously. It’s also a gift you give yourself.

Your brain is wired for love, which flows from my heart into your whole being. My love brings wholeness, healing, and life. Love is what you were made for. Because you were made for me.
