Through God’s Fingers

Home » Blog » Through God’s Fingers

That pressing test that rocks your world?  It’s either from the hand of God or from the hand of the enemy.  The fact is, it must first pass through the fingers of the Almighty, sift through the shape of His mercy.

In other words, rest easy.  If God isn’t the one nudging you forward through this trial, stretching you into His image, then He’s allowing the enemy to be used for your good and His glory.

Even in your vulnerability, you can trust God’s Sovereignty.  Satan’s on a rope, and God will always help you cope.  God’s got your back; you can’t possibly lack!

God’s ultimately the Commander over every army and principality; He never leaves you to fight alone.  From His throne, God covers you, overshadows you with His mercy, with a love that hasn’t changed in all of history.

[box] Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God, who fulfills his purpose for me. Psalm 57:1-2[/box]

You may think you’re a failure who deserves to lose, but in God’s mercy, He doesn’t give what we deserve; that’s good news!

So say, “so long” to stress.  God sees the end from the beginning.  He’s declared you a winner all along, making mercy the theme of your protection song!

[box] You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7[/box]

Your Turn

Do you think God is ultimately in charge of your current situation?  Why or why not?

Yes, God is in the circumstances and they’re not random chances. He knows every heartache, every joy, every push on the brake and what it takes to let Him drive. I almost enjoy when He drastically changes my plans, just to see what else He has in store for me.

Recently, I lost a part-time job from fibro-fog and fatigue that caused some poor judgment on my part. But I knew it was for the best, as I was already feeling the constant inflamed pain in writsts and hands from too many late hours of keyboarding data and too much time gripping the steering wheel on the car. Driving later into the night as the days got shorter was not God’s best plan for me because it is dangerous with the vision problems I have when fatigued.

I have every confidence God knew it was time for me to “put on the brakes” with this job before I had a car wreck.

Linda, your positive perspective is most refreshing. Your comment reminds me how trusting God produces thankfulness, which helps us maintain healthy souls. God bless you, sister! May God continue to make Himself known to you, in sunshine and rain.
