Swing Wide

swing-wide

We look for God to open doors for us, and so we should, but let’s not forget how God wants us to open each door of our heart to Him!

What door does He want you to swing open today? Listen and discern the knocks. Open wider and wider to His Kingdom ways.

[box] Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Revelation 3:20[/box]

[box] Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Psalm 24: 7, 8[/box]

King of glory, thank you for being strong and mighty in our lives. We swing wide the door of our heart to You, each room. We give you all the slamming arrows of cares and concerns for our health, safety, and family.

We give you our hopes and dreams and ask that You make them all about You and Your perfect Kingdom-expanding plan in our lives.

Make us conscious of our Your constant presence in our temples that we might be aware of Your connectedness to our thoughts and how everything is laid bare before You.

We give you complete control. Step in. Right now. Take over. We give you 2016 and make YOU our New Year Resolution.

      That’s awesome, K!

Just seconds before you posted, I prayed that somebody would share this on Facebook. I haven’t yet shared it there. I will though.

I actually started it writing it as a quick Facebook post, then decided to copy and paste it over here instead. It’s fairly simple, but straightforward. We need to focus on the Lord first and foremost.

When we delight in Him, He takes care of the goals, dreams, and desires of our hearts.

      Be blessed in His presence!

    Hi Cheryl,

Something I find interesting is the verse in Revelation 3 about Jesus standing at the door of our hearts, knocking, and wanting to come in and sup with us. Most people misinterpret rid scripture, thinking it is a salvation call from Christ, when He is in fact speaking to the body of believers. He wants us to let Him into the very intimate places of our lives like our family table. He wants us to sit down and speak together, allowing ourselves to trust Him to work in and through our lives from glory to glory.

Good point, Tamra. I think we Believers tend to miss this beautiful invitation. It’s new every morning–just like His mercies. Great is His faithfulness.

Wide gates, wide heart, wide reach. Jesus is my New Year’s all in all. “Whither Thou goest, I will go…”
    Love you and Merry Christmas,
    Linda

Awesome! God hears every word and always honors a yielded heart that’s for Him and His ways.
