When Life Falls Apart

Struck by dread and endless questions, in the thick of instant night, tears and fears consume me empty, shred my grit to stick the fight.

No!!

“At least your Aunt died at a ripe old age!”

“Ah… call if you need me.  Bye.”

Between vain attempts of comfort, rises a fresh, personal, voice of understanding.

Jesus Calling.

He says your name like you’re royalty.  His warmth beckons you closer.

Your soul is safe in His presence.

He asks His children to draw near and experience His true comforting closeness.

Who can resist?

Sadly, many do.

Life is gripping hard.  Jesus understands that.

Will you join me on this journey of stepping closer to the true Comforter?
To the One who will never let us go?

Touching blog, Cheryl. Even though people can’t always provide comfort, God is always there. Only Jesus can touch the wounded places deep in our soul.

    God bless you!

Thanks for blessing me with your comment, Lisa! Jesus’ healing touch is often an ongoing process. He continues to touch me deeply from difficult childhood wounds. The more He heals me, the more I share His comfort. The more I wait for His healing, the more He teaches me patience.

    Blessings on your journey!

I just wanted to share a recent experience I had.

I’m not poetically gifted, just an essayist. I thought you might enjoy knowing we’re listening to the same Voice.

Thanks for stopping by, Nancy. You’re right about us listening to the same Voice. I enjoyed reading your beautiful insights. Quite poetic actually. Thanks for sharing!
