When Misjudged

Home » Blog » When Misjudged

by Cheryl · In: Blog, Transformation · on Dec 20, 2010

How would you feel if you embodied perfect love towards the people you created, and instead of them acknowledging you as God, they judged you as satanic? How patient would you be?

Wouldn’t you want to get ‘em – or at least sit on their lunch!?

That’s not what Christ felt, yet He was disrespected like no other. In response, He kept to His mission of loving, serving, dying and saving…. to make us more like Him.

Did you know that you’re on a mission to make a world difference? If you bear the name of Christ (Christian), it’s not going to be a piece of cake, except the upside down kind.

Even other Christians will misunderstand you at times. The good news is: You don’t need to do a thing about your enemies except love and pray for them. Save your adrenaline for your good deeds, and let God take care of the trouble-makers.

If someone treats you like royalty, like the son or daughter Christ died for, watch out, because God, who is no respecter of persons, is going to bless them for their kindness.

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” Genesis 12:3

When bad things happen to you, don’t be surprised if some of your “friends” become like Job’s. When they do, lean into God’s strength, and respond like the wise, blessed and chosen person you are. And wait. God will restore what the enemy stole. If not in this life, in the life to come!

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”  Matthew 5:11-12

    Cheryl:

Yes, I’ve been betrayed and deceived by people I thought were my friends. Many of us have experienced it. I like what you said about praying for those who have done this to me. This scripture is particularly important for me to remember,

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12

Thank you Cheryl for the post I received in my e-mailbox this a.m. I only receive two devotionals and I do believe God is speaking through your words — your beautifully written words.

Hi Cheryl, so great to start to see all your great work. And so great to do this online, after our times together, of connecting and supporting each other at MHCWC’s.

Oh, to be judged, and to give it to God. I think of Sister Theresa’s comments which were something like: ‘you will be misunderstood when you do good, do good anyway’, and so much more.

Thanks Janneke! I like Sister Theresa’s thinking. I suppose life’s a lot more simple when we focus on our audience of One.

Have a “good” day, my friend. Thanks for stopping by!!

Different people in all countries receive the home loans from various creditors, because this is comfortable and fast.
