I don’t know about you, but my mind doesn’t automatically fill with holy truth.
It’s flesh-clad bent pulls toward empty darkness, to the destructive side of youth.
Worldly pollution builds like dust. Naturally.
Seductive lies come disguised as truth.
God’s Word is purest truth, dividing errors in two.
God’s Spirit applies truth to broken lives.
God’s broken Son endured the world’s worst storm to help us through.
Christ is the perfect picture of rest and trust.
The more we’re filled with Christ, the more we’re filled with rest.
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:29

Wow, Cheryl…thank you for saying it so powerfully. I needed the reminder.

Cheryl that is beautiful! The more we’re filled with Christ, the more we’re filled with rest… SO true. Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you, Heidi and Dawn, for your comments! I need that powerful reminder too ~ especially since I’m busier than ever with “A Friend in the Storm.” I confess I’m often tempted to skip my regular Bible time; but that’s when I need it most! My mind is carnival of activity. I need to slow the ride so I can meditate on truth. So I can rest! I pray the two of you find beautiful rest today too. In Jesus’ name. 🙂
